Sheet vinyl or LVT: which suits your room?
Sheet vinyl and LVT are fitted differently and feel different underfoot. LVT’s individual planks and tiles let you choose the layout, including herringbone and mixed patterns. Printed sheet vinyl can show a herringbone design too, but as one continuous print rather than pieces you arrange yourself.
Sheet and Cushioned Vinyl
Foxglove Flooring fits Vanguard cushioned vinyl, supplied as a continuous roll in traditional wood-look designs. Other sheet vinyl designs span wood, stone and tile-look options generally. A roll needs any joins planned around the room’s width and shape, worked out at the measure visit.

1. Measure and Choose
At your free home visit, the team measures the room and checks the existing base and access. They talk through your sample choices.
2. Agree Your Quote and Fitting Arrangements
Material, preparation, furniture moving and any uplift or disposal are agreed as one quote, along with a fitting date, before any work starts.
3. Prepare and Fit Your Floor
The existing floor is prepared as agreed, whether that’s lifting an old covering or smoothing the base. Then the vinyl is laid, joined and finished.
4. Check the Finish, Clean Up and Handover
The team checks the finished floor with you, covering the joins, edges and overall finish before the job’s called done. They clear away offcuts and fitting waste and tidy the work area. You’ll also get care guidance for your new floor at this point.
As a guide, glued LVT often needs around 24 hours before you walk on it while the adhesive sets, though the exact time depends on the product and fitting method. Keep heavy furniture off the floor until your fitter confirms it’s ready at handover.
